ADA fact sheet: Keeping practices safe as Delta variant spreads
A new fact sheet from the ADA provides an update on the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant and recommended COVID-19 mitigation strategies to minimize risk to staff and patients. The ADA and CDC recommend that dental practice settings continue to follow strategies, including use of personal protective equipment, physical distancing and vaccination. The virus can still infect vaccinated individuals, and the Delta variant is widespread in the US. Although it appears to be more transmissible than other forms of the virus, it is vulnerable to secondary immune response.
