The lecture covers several key financial planning and investment topics:

1. The importance of saving and investing
2. Debt Management
3. Retirement Planning
4. Investment Strategies
5. Financial Behavioral Insights
6. Key Recommendations

 

EDUCATIONAL METHODS

Lecture, PowerPoint presentation, and Q&A

The lecture uses numerous charts and historical data to illustrate financial principles and investment strategies. The lecture will also allow time for Q&A from the audience to ask questions, and the speaker will stay around for any questions that are more 1:1 type of questions. 

 


Chris Congema, CFP

A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, Chris Congema began his career in the Financial Services Industry in 1991. He has worked for firms such as Merrill Lynch, Charles Schwab, and Fidelity Investments. Chris started his own Registered Investment Advisory firm in 2013.  
Chris graduated from St. John’s University in 1990 with a BS from the School of Business. He has previously held the Series 7, 9, 10, 63, & 65 licenses, as well as the NYS Health and Life Insurance licenses. Chris is an active member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), Long Island Chapter. Chris is also a member of The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). NAPFA is the country’s leading professional association of Fee-Only financial advisors-highly trained professionals who are committed to working in the best interests of those they serve.

Pre-registration is required for all courses. Payment is due upon registration (where applicable). Refunds will be issued if we are notified more than 24 hours prior to the event start time; credits for future courses will not be provided. The schedule is subject to change.
