OSHA Publishes an Emergency Temporary Standard for Health Care Workers
The United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has issued its Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) for protecting health care workers from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The ETS takes effect upon publication in the Federal Register, which has not yet occurred. OSHA has only published the ETS regulations on its own Web site, which is not the same as publication in the Federal Register (the official publication for all federal regulations).
The document is over 900 pages long and is being reviewed by the ADA. Until that analysis is completed the following Fact Sheet and Flow Chart issued by OSHA are a good reference for our members.
