An HHS email blast to health care organizations said postcards claiming to be from the Office for Civil Rights and demanding participation in a "Required Security Risk Assessment" did not come from the agency, according to an ADA News report. HHS said providers can check the authenticity of messages claiming to be from the OCR by looking at the sender's email address, which should end in @hhs.gov, or by emailing OCRMail@hhs.gov.
