COURSE DESCRIPTION/ EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

This lecture is designed to inform dentists of some of the legal and practical issues surrounding practice transitions. We will explore topics relating to buying-in over time as well as immediate sales by looking at both employment agreements and purchase agreements from the perspective of both the buyer and seller.

Sean Simensky, Esq.

Sean N. Simensky is a partner in the law firm of Rivkin-Radler LLC. He concentrates his practice on general corporate representation of companies, with a specific emphasis on dental, veterinary, and other healthcare practices and health services clients.
Sean represents dentists and other healthcare providers in the start-up, acquisition or sale of their practice, corporate structuring, establishment of partnerships, associate contracts, employee matters, and general contract review.
Graduating valedictorian of his class from LIU Post, Sean earned degrees in history, political science, and sociology. Sean graduated magna cum laude from Hofstra University’s Maurice A. Deane School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the American College of Trust and Estate Law Counsel (ACTEC) Law Journal.
