Welcome to the Nassau County Dental Society’s website and our Members Only Portal. Founded in 1948, NCDS is the second largest component in New York State following New York County in Manhattan. NCDS’ goal for 2011 and beyond is to be the go-to source of oral health related information for dentists and their patients in Nassau County. Learn more about the NCDS’ mission and vision, and our commitment to the public’s oral health, ethics, science and professional advancement and access to care for all Nassau County inhabitants.

Membership and Governance

Serving as a local component to the New York State Dental Association and the American Dental Association, NCDS boasts a strong 1,500 practicing dentist’s membership in Nassau County. The NCDS is a member-run, not for profit organization managed by an elected Board of Directors and a 15-member Executive Board.

The NCDS works to advance the dental profession in Nassau County. Tripartite membership at the local level includes joining the New York State Dental Association and the American Dental Association forming one 157,000 member strong organization.

The Nassau Academy of Dentistry

This educational arm of the NCDS provides the finest CE and practice management courses for experienced, new and women dentists in Nassau County. Because of the kind support of our sponsors, most courses are provided free to members or at a substantially reduced rate.
